I teach D.A.R.E. and I love the program. I’m a youth pastor and I love the teens I work with and see at church and events. I’m a husband of 12 years and a father of three kids. I help out my friends and stand beside them when they truly need me. All of this goes into who I am. Sometimes we just have to move to be able to see everything.
Currently I’m on sabbatical from my church. I’m working out things in my own life which have been largely ignored due to various other demands on my time, thoughts, and yes feelings. Unfortunately it seems like this process of dealing with it all is much more difficult than just not dealing with it to begin with. I’m learning that perceptions and reality are not the same things. Like in the picture, is she going into a scary cave, or is she leaving the safety of the cave to venture into the darkness?
